HOMEWORK FOR WEEK OF APRIL 20 - 27

American Military History Homework for Weeks of April 27

Ongoing homework - read book and submit 30 page summaries - if you do not have a book currently, GET ONE or ASK for ONE - you MUST submit your summaries (each week) to me in class as part of your homework below - if I receive no summary, you will receive a zero for the week.

The homework listed below is to be turned in next week (April 27) in class - if homework is late, turn it in or e-mail it to me NO LATER THAN Monday May 4 - homework will not be accepted after then and you will receive a zero. Homework turned in late will receive a deduction.

Two of the most devastating attacks on America were the bombing of Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, which ushered the US into WW II, and the 9-11 attacks, which started the US on a war on terrorism that continues to this day…Visit the sites below, go through the sites thoroughly, reading articles, watching video, and viewing photos…After looking at both sites, write a two page essay, describing the attacks, listing similarities and differences you noticed, and note the three main points that interested you the most. Then create a list of ten things you had not known before for both Pearl Harbor and 9-11 (so you will have two lists of 10)

You may write individual paragraphs on items of interest from the sites also for extra credit if you wish…
